Stanza 1:

The young one of the horse came out of the cave. The little rabbit came out of its hole. Hatchlings come out of their nests. Birds too join the joyous occasion. Green leaves and bright flowers sway in the breeze. Look at everything in nature. Don’t you see that it’s the arrival of spring?

out of – coming out from, லெளியேறி வந்து; cave – a hollow in a hill or mountain, குனசு; hole – rabbits dig a hole in the earth and live in it, முயல்கள் வசிக்கும் குழி; rabbit – hare, முயல்; foal – young one of a horse or donkey, குதிரைக்குட்டி; hatch – come out of the egg, முட்னட பொரித்து குஞ்சு வெளிவருதல்; nest – shelter for birds, கூடு; too – also, கூட்; fest – festival, a joyous occasion, பண்டினகக் கொண்டாட்டம்; leaves – plural of ‘leaf, இலைகள்; leaves green – green leaves; swing – move to and pro, ஊஞ்சலாடுகின்றன; Do you know – Can you feel that all these are indication of spring season?

Stanza 2:

Many insects had gone into hiding during winter season. Now that it is spring, the insects have come back. The bugs and black spiders have come back. Bears and bees have come out. The bees fly around the flowers. Rabbits are seen on meadows and bears are seen near the trees. Just as I am happy, these insects and animals are also happy. Like me, they too hum joyfully. Everyone is happy because spring has come.

‘மகனே! இன்று மிகவும் வெப்பமாக (hot) இருக்கிறதென நான் நினைக்கிறேன். மதியத்திற்கு (noon) முன் மழை பெய்யக் கூடும்” என அம்மா கூறினாள்.
